Valley Fine Foods has an exciting opportunity in the Research and Development Department to assist in culinary creativity and provide product development support as a Research & Culinary Innovation Chef. The key to success for an individual in this role is to be; passionate about food, culinary creative, innovative and think outside the box, and to have the ability to communicate ideas and collaborate within a team.

About the Job:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

§  Coordinate multiple concurrent food product launches from bench top testing to production commercialization

§  Assist in developing formulations for new product development to include: sourcing ingredients, establishing machinery requirements, determining manufacturing processes for new products

§  Exploring quality improvements and cost reductions to current product formulations

§  Aid with the ideation of new products through market research and product surveys

§  Produce, inventory and ship buyer samples

§  Assist production in new product start up

§  Complete department reports


§  A Culinary degree, a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Science is preferred

§  Must be Proficient in MS Office Suite with intermediate skills in MS Excel

§  Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills

§  Must have the ability to collaborate and contribute in a team working environment

§  Must have the ability to multi-task

§  Must have excellent attention to detail

§  Must be hands-on

§  Culinary experience a plus

§  Product development in a food manufacturing facility a plus
