SUMMARY

Looking for Proven, experienced General Manager wanted for casual family dining restaurant in Miami, Oklahoma. This management position will oversee facility maintenance, personnel standards, food quality standards, and the overall guest experience.  Stonehill Grill is an independent restaurant serving American grill items, salads, sandwiches, and other features.  We offer a Competitive Salary, Health Insurance, Paid Vacation, & a Meal Program.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hires, trains, coaches, supervises, and appraises all employees, and recommends discipline of employees.
  • Works with servers to ensure quality food presentation and with kitchen staff to ensure recipes are followed.
  • Works with all employees to ensure that operational standards are maintained.
  • Writes schedules for dining room and kitchen staff.
  • Responsible for assisting with accounting, cash handling, record keeping and reporting procedures. 
  • Monitors results against controllable expenses (such as food and labor costs) and restaurant profits and takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Coordinates catering functions between the customer and kitchen manager.
  • Receives, reviews and acts upon complaints received from guests.
  • Ensures all safety, sanitation, and food-handling guidelines are followed.
  • Manages and oversees general operations on a day-to-day basis.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

All other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Three to five years of restaurant management experience with proven skills in successful cost and labor controls and dining room operationand/or college degree in restaurant/hotel field.
  • Requires bending, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, repetitive motions, visual acuity, and hearing.
  • Must possess a general knowledge of food and beverage procedures and administration.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
     

WORKING CONDITIONS

High noise levels, hot, must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
