About the Job

General Manager/FOH Department Head

This position is responsible for providing a positively memorable dining experience while effectively managing a large staff (including FOH Managers, Supervisors, Servers, Bartenders, Bussers, Hosts, Kitchen, Maint.) in adherence to the company's established policies and procedures, as well as completing all department administrative duties.


General Manager

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

    -Oversees all operations of restaurant.
    -Provide knowledge, direction, motivation and discipline for all staff in the best interest of the business.
    -Experience in managing a variety of individuals.
    -Extensive skills in leadership, communication and listening, coordinating and prioritizing.
    -Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants recipe's, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
    -Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
    -fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.


FOH Dept Head

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

-          Customer service:  Guarantees quality service for all customers by ensuring that company expectations for environment and service process are met.  Attends to and effectively addresses customer concerns that may arise.

-          Oversees training, scheduling, motivation and discipline process for all FOH staff including:  Managers, Servers, Bartenders, Bussers and Hosts.  Has an understanding of current Federal and State labor laws.

-          Regularly inspects dining and service areas and equipment and reports any problems to GM and Maintenance departments.

-          Cost of Goods Management:  Guarantees all bar drinks are made to spec sheet requirements.  Orders and maintains accurate inventory of Liquor, Beer and Wine.

-          Banquets:  Fields inquiries, books, and manages banquet events.
