 Sales Associate

General DescriptionPerforms all duties related to sales, execution and follow-up to weddings and events at our location. Responsibilities may include sales calls, meeting with brides, managing wedding set-up and flow and all customer service relationships.

Requirements:  Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.  Also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.  

Specific Duties include but are not limited to:

         Managing and motivating yourself and an event team to increase sales and ensure efficiency all assigned locations

         Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits for all assigned locations

         Analyzing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning for all assigned locations

         Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met

         Meeting with clients to determine needs at assigned locations

         Creating Proposals to meet client request

         Prepare and execute clients needs for actual events

         Promoting the organization locally by liaising with venues, marketing opportunities and the community in general

         Organizing special promotions  and events at assigned locations

         Updating office on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues at our location.

         Maintaining awareness of market trends in the venue industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;

         Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising walk through hours to ensure the company can compete effectively in the local market

         Assist with negotiations for space contracts and book event space, arrange food and beverage, order supplies, make travel arrangements, ensure appropriate décor (florals, linens, color schemes, etc.) to meet the quality expectations of the wedding party.

 

         Aggressively gather information on each project to achieve quality event productions.

 

         Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make decisions about event possibilities.

 

         Create Corporate relationships by contacting offices monthly and establishing rapport

 

         Create and revised room layouts for each event.

 

         Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters

.

         Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary.

 

         Close out all events as required.

 

         Complete any Public Relations Events

 

         Maintain venue relationship and marketing materials

 

         Scout new venues
