Sales Director, High School Programs



A leading provider of global educational travel programs for schools across the USA is seeking a California based Sales Manager to lead a growing sales team to help increase the firm’s market share in this rapidly expanding area (working from his/her home-office).


Qualifications include:


·        Bachelor's Degree required

·        Residence in CA (Los Angeles or San Francisco metro areas) or willingness to relocate at your own expense

·        3+ years of proven performance in a sales environment and 1+ years previous sales management experience (or Team Leader, Sr. Sales Rep, etc.)

·        Proven history of building or assisting with building a team; managing and training team members in a results-oriented environment

·        Successful experience selling to the K-12 marketplace; a MUST-HAVE

·        Knowledge of international destinations/international travel experience preferred

·        Industry experience a plus but not required

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Strong attention to detail, documentation, time management and organizational skills

·        Sense of urgency and commitment; demonstrated ability to meet individual and sales team goals

·        Ability to significantly increase time commitment as needed to meet company objectives


            Responsibilities include:


·        Hire, train, supervise and direct all activities of a Regional Sales Team of up to 10 staff members

·        Develop and implement sales strategy including annual sales goals and objectives that are aligned with the long-range strategy of the organization

·        Utilize sales database to effectively manage sales territories and pipeline

·        Use sales reporting tools to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, track costs and results

·        Coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology

·        Represent the company at industry conferences and customer events
