Sales Operations Manager - N. America *

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Business Operations covering North America and Latin America sales regions
  • Two years of sales or sales management experience in a B-to-B sales environment preferred
  • Superior analytical skills. Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience using CRM applications; Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Oracle/Siebel
  • Ability to multi-task and change priorities according to critical business needs
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to work independently
  • Ability to understand WW strategic vision with laser focus on tactical execution
  • Ability to influence decisions across all levels of the sales organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (preferred) or related field from an accredited institution
Responsibilities
  • Own sales and back office processes for the North America and Latin America Sales regions
  • Sales Reporting and analytics – Forecasting, Channel (POS), dashboards
  • Foster close, cooperative, collaborative relationships with cross-functional organizations through-out Ruckus, including critical groups such as sales management, sales and support personnel
  • Balance the demands and tactical needs of the Americas sales organization (Carrier and Enterprise)
  • Work cross-functionally to create policy, process and procedures to drive and support critical business priorities
  • Drive profitability and predictable business practices by partnering with deal management to protect gross margin but empower our field sales force to be competitive and win strategic business
  • Help Sales to maximize their time in front of the customer by understanding their needs and translating them into productivity through process, tools and supportive assistance

Planning / Process / Programs

  • Partner with sales management on business planning and strategy to establish priorities, drive critical initiatives and make smart investments
  • Assist in all facets of sales planning, comp plans, quota assignment, HC allocation, etc
  • Own and execute the “in region” deals desk approval process
  • Take a leadership role in escalating pricing and contract approvals for WWSVP/CFO approval
  • Work with sales ops director to roll-out consistent, predictable, scalable sales process
  • Work with the field sales teams (both carrier and enterprise) to optimize business process to drive efficiencies and productivity
  • Partner with operations and manufacturing to help facilitate product forecasting, lead-time management and to quickly address order entry issues.
  • Ownership of facilities planning – partnering with facilities manager to make provisions for Americas sales organization
  • Assist and drive communication, coordination for a world-class EBC experience in local offices or HQ location
  • Identify opportunities for sales process improvement
  • Work closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
  • Point of contact for all sales new hires - coordinates training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel
  • Provide input in the development and administration of sales compensation programs
  • Working with accounting, finance, and human resources, provides assistance with sales compensation administration on an as-needed basis, or when required to arbitrate or clarify the application of sales compensation program policies and procedures
  • Support global reseller contract relationships – review project registrations and work closely with Business Development to manage program objectives
  • Partner with marketing and events planning for various activities throughout the year – channel related – AP&J Sales Kick Off – Carrier events, etc
  • Partner with sales systems engineering leadership to ensure alignment and drive critical needs, priorities throughout sales organization
  • Maintain critical documentation: Sales org charts, territory maps, etc.

Tools & Reporting

  • Manage POS reporting, data cleansing and analytics
  • Lead the weekly sales forecast process, calls, publish forecast analytics to sales teams
  • Drive adoption of new forecasting tools and dashboards, CRM adoption
  • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization
  • Monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts
  • Monitor weekly forecast and metric reports & provide analysis for Sales Management
  • Drive adoption of global sales tools/processes, including salesforce.com
