Whitsons Food Corp. seeks School Nutrition Compliance Supervisor in Islandia, New York.

Work directly with school managers to accomplish the following: Training each team on HHFKA requirements, Menu development, WMP input, Production record compliance, Preparing for CRE/administrative audits; Monitor and communicate any and all changes to nutrition regulations company-wide ensuring that corporate and field are completely informed to maintain compliance; Conduct monthly training sessions for field teams on federal compliance; Conduct Nutritional analysis of all menus and recipes using Nutrikids and other programs; Assist in menu development to ensure positive validation for our locations; Work directly with Research and Development in developing new products for health focused product lines to comply with federal and state requirements; Conduct market research to identify target audience for promotional rollout ƒ working directly with Marketing; Develop relationships with federal and state agencies to best utilize resources available as well as having access to experts and early notice of changes; Maintain all compliance documentation for applicable program-NSLP, CACFP, etc.; Understand and manage all the different state requirements to create documentation that meets all requirements while maintaining ease of use for field operators; Dissemination of HHFKA regulations and Food Buying Guide yields for school lunch programs to field operators and R&D team; Work with Cross Functional team on evaluation of ingredients and recipes meeting nutritional criteria; Maintain allergen lists for products and school lunch programs; Field nutrition inquiries from food service directors, school personnel, and parents; Liaison with Marketing on materials for school lunch program.

Requires a Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field, plus 2.5 years (30 months) of experience in school nutrition menu compliance. Requires strong knowledge of Nutri-kids software; a complete understanding of School Lunch programs; and experience in food manufacturing nutritional analysis. Must be willing to travel to client sites up to 40%.
