Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be clearable to Public Trust.


Time can be split between Reston and DC location. Candidates must be willing to travel to DC for meetings.

As the complexity of the IT security-focused threats grows, so too does the need to enhance the skills of the HHS workforce. The contractor shall work with HHS to identify the skills needed to maintain and enhance HHS’ security posture, identify gaps between those skills and the existing workforce, and put in place greater opportunities for enhancing those skill-sets. Each of these efforts must be conducted in close coordination with HHS and OPDIV stakeholders, such as training developers and human resource personnel. Additionally, these efforts must be informed by best practices from the public and private sectors and align with guiding federal requirements

and legislation. The contractor shall:


a. Assist in the coordination of Department-wide workforce planning-focused activities

b. Assist in the collection and aggregation of data necessary to support internal and external workforce-focused data calls and activities

c. Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and monthly workforce development working groups


A.A or A.S. in related field and two years experience. Degree may be substituted with a minimum of four years of related experience.


Two years of experience with providing workforce development support within a cyber security organization.


Possess experience with:

  • Aligning strategic goals with organizational performance and goals.
  • Collect and analyze data around workforce issues and goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team management environment and participate in collaborative initiatives which foster the mutual exchange of knowledge and expertise.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to build and maintain customer satisfaction and express conclusions in a clear, technically sound manner on matters associated with IT security.


Strong verbal and written communication skills are highly preferred.  It is highly desired that candidates possess strong interpersonal skills.  Candidates must be fluent in the English language.
