Senior Accounting Analyst
Eaton located in Cleveland, OH (Beachwood) has a Senior Accounting Analyst opportunity available.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for multiple corporate ledgers. This includes ensuring that all proper supporting documentation is included in each of the reconciliations. Manages and takes ownership of these reviews, including the detailed analysis and the follow up with the ledger owner.
Accounting responsibility for multiple corporate ledgers, including balance sheet and miscellaneous P&L transactions. Account for treasury transactions including intercompany grid notes and loans, and assist in the accounting of the net settlement of intercompany US Ledgers monthly payment activity across AR, AP and GL systems. Act as contact for ledger recharges and Oracle entries for EC departments and domestic ledgers. Assist in the recording of monthly recurring and allocation entries.
Assist with year-end schedules required by the Tax Department. Assist with the audit requests from EY, including the compilation of reports and supporting schedules.
Assist with the clearing of cash for North American ledgers. Work through various documentation and research transactions when necessary. Collaborate with other team members on ensuring all cash transactions are recorded properly.
Perform accounting and analysis functions for the Eaton Center (EC) Reporting & Analysis team to ensure compliance with established internal and external accounting guidelines and requirements, including GAAP and internal controls, and ensure the integrity of ledgers is maintained. Support department in on-going Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives.
Assist with the recommendation, development, and implementation of process improvements in support of departmental goals.
Basic Qualifications: -Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution. -Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or finance. -Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. -No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the work location will be considered.
Preferred Qualification: -MBA -CPA or CMA -Manufacturing accounting experience preferred -Previous experience working in a corporate setting and supporting different functional teams -Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP, HFM, Khalix, Quantum and RADAR, along with advanced Excel skills preferred.
