Senior Product and Test Development Engineer

 

S3C Inc. is a Silicon Valleycompany designing and manufacturing pressure sensors for automotive and industrial applications.   We are currently expanding in our Sunnyvale facility and have a full-time position available for a Senior Product and Test Development Engineer.

 

Job Description

This position will be located at S3C, Inc in Sunnyvale CA and will be responsible for product and test development for automotive and industrial pressure sensors.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Product development including:
    • translating customer specifications into engineering design
    • PCB design
    • component selection
    • product design verification
    • product test and validation
    • device failure analysis
  • Test development including:
    • Design of test hardware
    • Coordination with software test development
    • Test system build and validation
  • Writing product and test documentation
  • Coordinating development with internal and external customers as necessary

 

Job Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 10 years experience in sensor or similar product development
  • Minimum 5 years experience in sensor calibration and/or test development
  • Knowledge of PCB layout, fabrication and manufacturing
  • Familiarity with MEMS sensors
  • Familiarity with best in class engineering techniques such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Risk Analysis, design of experiments
  • Must expertly communicate both verbally and electronically in a cross functional environment
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team oriented environment
  • Strong problem solving abilities and good understanding of industry standards
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must be able to think independently and creatively
  • Experience optimizing design performance, quality and cost
  • Willing and able to travel abroad
