Senior Program Manager - Position Overview
The Senior Program Manager has overall engagement-planning and day-to-day management responsibilities of various project teams and stakeholders in delivering and implementing TYG’s Blueday platforms and associated methodologies into top-tier retailers. This client facing role will own and mature the implementation strategies and create repeatable processes. This is a high growth role within TYG and has high visibility.
•Direct and manage implementation activities across multiple projects for multi-phase, multi-year client engagements
•Develop master program plan, project plans, documents, and presentation
•Manage internal alignment among the project leads
•Establish and communicate program teams to include TYG and client personnel with defined roles and responsibilities
•Set and execute account-management and communication strategies in conjunction with Client Relations
•Manage program activities across functional areas within TYG and coordinate these activities with the client and report on status.
•Follow quality-management procedures to ensure TYG project teams deliver quality products and services that meet defined specifications and expectations. Identify, track, and resolve program-related issues, change of scope, and deliverables acceptance
•Build expertise in TYG’s integrated store operating model solution offering and specific client engagement deliverable requirements to identify, escalate, and participate in resolving issues that require executive attention
•Participate in defining customization requirements and providing implementation support for clients
•Conduct program reviews and collect client metrics for continuous improvement of TYG’s methodologies and processes as well as communicate TYG value-added to client senior management teams
•Participate in internal design and development of new solution modules and services and enhancements to TYG’s Blueday offering
•Work with various teams to design and develop content scope documents and client education materials and presentations
•Collaborate with internal TYG principals, subject matter experts and solution delivery team members for content input and validation
•Perform special projects as assigned
•Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, or MBA, with 10+ years of professional experience including 5+ years in client-facing project management or program management consulting positions
•Proven track record in program management including project management, client-relationship, people-management, and team-management skills
•Experience in directing multiple project teams and working successfully with clients and TYG staff to facilitate and achieve successful cross-functional solution delivery implementation
•Strategic, holistic thinker combined with real-world client practical implementation experience
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•Professional program/project management processes and methodologies experience
•Experienced in methodology development and in defining client solution requirements
•Thorough and meticulous. Great attention to detail.
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and SharePoint.
•Training and/or retail experience strongly desirable.
•Ability to work in a dynamic software and consulting company environment.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business users and technical system designers and developers both internally and with clients.
•Large-scale client implementation programs and organizational change management experience
•Ability to engender trust and loyalty in relationships and to collaborate and communicate effectively with senior management and peers both internally and with clients.
