Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Senior Scientist, Analytical Sciences to support our Professional Scientific Staffing group in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Senior Scientist, Analytical Sciences responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Conduct routine sample analysis of excipients and raw materials with high concentrations of proteins using ICP/MS and HPLC


  • ICP/MS, HPLC method development and qualification for trace metals in complex matrices


  • Trace quantitation analysis of results


  • Troubleshoot and maintain analytical equipment in good working order


  • Improve and develop analytical methods using a wide range of chromatographic techniques under minimal supervision


  • Author, review, or data verify technical reports or method development reports


  • Independently interpret data, draw conclusions, summarize and present data in weekly cross functional meetings


The ideal candidate would possess:


  • A strong understanding and proficient utilization of ICP/MS, HPLC, ion chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and quantitation analysis


  • A proven industry record of meeting critical business deadlines


  • A passion to learn, develop, and implement new analytical technologies and methods and follow established protocols and procedures


  • Excellent writing, documentation, and presentation skills, and attention to detail


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude


  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:


  • BS +10 years, MS +5 years, or PhD +3 years experience with degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences, or related scientific field


  • 3 years industry experience working with ICP/MS and HPLC analytical methods



Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Thousand Oaks, CA are encouraged to apply.
