Senior Software Developer, Dynamics AX

Virtual, Home Office

In this position, you will work collaboratively with product designers and other software developers to design and create new software modules, enhancements, and features. In addition to working on our products, you may be tapped to create customer-specific Dynamics AX modifications and customizations to meet particular needs of individual Elevate HR clients.

Responsibilities

• Interpret written business requirements and technical specifications
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined templates
• Develop software according to written technical specifications
• Code to established Microsoft Best Business Practices and CfMD standards
• Perform testing of programs to established standards
• Investigate, analyze and document reported defects
• Perform maintenance programming and correct identified defects
• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
• Manage individual scope of work
• Maintain weekly reporting for time, expenses, and status
• Interpret customer business and functional requirements and create technical specification documents for customizations

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of development experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX software required, preferably with Dynamics AX HCM or Payroll modules experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of relational database architecture and design
• Knowledge of Dynamics AX Morph X and X++ coding languages, Enterprise Portal (SharePoint a plus) 
• Knowledge of Visual Studio and C# coding languages
• Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
• Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
• Ability to travel to customer locations for requirements gathering and implementation tasks (10-20%), if needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
