Senior Systems Engineer

 

JOB DUTIES:

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of the firm’s infrastructure and standards on a global scope.  This individual is responsible for establishing high availability systems for the firm’s current size (1,800 users, 15 datacenters) and evolving such designs to match the firm’s planned growth worldwide. The infrastructure today includes leading edge technologies that reflect the mission critical nature of our network. Enterprise class data centers, Microsoft Windows based systems, EMC Storage Area Networks, HP & Cisco UCS server systems, VMWare VSphere & Citrix virtualization. As our need for system resources, availability, recovery, mobility, and security continue to grow, we expect this role to lead us to our next level of IT capability and security.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position.

-       High School Diploma or GED required.

-       5+ years of Enterprise level network engineering experience

-       Strong knowledge of VMWare and Windows Server Active Directory (must be listed on resume) required.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Relevant technical certifications are highly desired.  HP & Cisco Server hardware, data center design, data cabling, software and network management and monitoring tools. Ability to lead the troubleshooting of problems in relation to installation, configuration and general maintenance of network systems including data communications. Mandatory attendance of monthly off-hours network maintenance, and be available for unscheduled emergency maintenance. Ability to travel according to business requirements and support a 24/365 business.
