Job Title: Software Engineer
Reports To: Manager, Development
Job Location: Calabasas, CA
The software engineer is responsible for producing state of the art software solutions used to automate the flow of clinical information in a healthcare setting. Working within a team environment, the software engineer must be able to collaborate across multiple departments including Technical Support, Implementations, Project Management, and Quality Assurance.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
· Produce software solutions to meet client needs.
· Perform multi-tiered applications design and development using appropriate tools.
· Perform Graphical User Interface application development using Visual Basic and Crystal Reports.
· Perform system integration, testing, debugging on multi-tiered platforms.
· Ability to quickly and thoroughly learn and utilize new software development tools as directed.
· Document technical design and specifications.
· Must complete job assignments accurately and on schedule.
· Other duties may be assigned.
The Software Engineer has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The software engineer must be able to perform design and development tasks using multiple tools and languages which may change from time to time.
Education and / or Experience
· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field, or related work experience may be considered.
· 2 + years software engineering
· Master’s degree - No experience necessary
The technical skills listed below are representative of those required for a software engineer. The department manager will determine whether additional technical skills are required for a particular S/W engineering position based on the functional area within the company. As new tools are available and adopted by Atlas, the software engineer will be required to learn and become proficient in the use of the new tools as directed by the department manager.
Expert-level knowledge of:
· .RDBMS experience with concepts
· .NET including ADO.NET
Working knowledge of:
· Entry level design and development
· Cache experience is helpful but not required
The applicant should possess exceptional English written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
The applicant should be able to analyze and interpret data relating to various projects and resolve issues and problems that arise.

Work will be conducted in a standard office environment. Temperatures are regulated by facilities management and are not within the control of the individual. Most work is conducted in an open-cubicle area with associated distractions. Business professional attire is required when interacting with clients/potential clients/vendors, etc.
