Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skill sets that can think strategically and act tactically. This position will work closely with senior management, business/technicalsubject matter experts, business users and other Accelare consultants to lead Strategy-to-Design and Design-to-Execution Solution Architecture initiatives.
Qualifications
q 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
q Willing to travel throughout the United States.
q 7-10 years of progressive experience in software development environments.
q Diverse knowledge of and experience with various software platforms and database management systems … both a specialist and a generalist.
q Specific knowledge of Microsoft .Net and Java platforms and technologies.
q General knowledge of data and application architecture disciplines.
q Experience in implementing enterprise systems and familiarity with cloud, web-based, or mobile systems.
q Understanding of Enterprise Architecture practices and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
q Demonstrated ability to work in a very fast paced environment, to manage multiple tasks, work in agile manner‚ and work independently or as a team.
q Ability to provide coherent vision, strategic plans, and leadership to achieve peer/stakeholder buy-in and successful alignment with business vision.
q Full technology life-cycle expertise in architecture, development, quality/compliance, performance optimization, and deployment/support methodologies.
q Excellent interpersonal skills and talents to interact with various levels of company's organization.
q Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
q Knowledge of industry trends, business environments, technology trends, reference architectures, and product strategies.
Responsibilities
q Work collaboratively with top management and business users to identify and propose projects which utilize enterprise technologies to provide support for tactical, operational and strategic corporate goals.
q Provide guidance and direction to development resources and leadership on implementing technology solutions.
q Work closely with vendors and solution providers during purchase of software, application outsourcing or consulting services.
q Serve as expert in development and architectural principles and best practices.
q Participate in Agile projects to improve the time-to-value for the client through incremental prototyping and delivery.
q Work as a liaison between business and technology stakeholders.
q Consult on process improvement for SDLC and tool automation initiatives.
q Serve as a mentor for software quality assurance (e.g. TDD, code complexity, and refactoring)
q Participate in the design of frameworks and cross-cutting architecture components.
q Participate in the design and implementation of major sub-system components.
q Use, and mentor others in, applicable design and development languages and tools.
q Solicit and develop a thorough understanding of business functional and quality of service requirements for the architecture.
q Maintain linkage of technology architecture to business architecture artifacts.
q Conduct research and evaluation through a build/buy/reuse methodology.
q Conduct proof of concept pilots to demonstrate the implementation and impact of new technology and ideas.
q Participate in technology/industry consortiums as necessary.
