SQL Server DBA, SQL Server Database Administrator
Under minimum supervision, the Database Administrator maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database; Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance solutions; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5 years of business experience in a related field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A large degree of creativity is required.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
40% Database Systems Administration: administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance solutions; resolves database performance issues, database capacity, issues, replications, and other distributed data issues.
30% Database Development: Designs, develops, tests and deploys database stored procedures, triggers, functions, tables, views, SSIS/DTS, etc. in support of ongoing software development efforts that utilize databases.
20% Disaster/Recovery Support: Provides design, development, testing and deployment of disaster recovery solution: (replication/log shipping) for database systems.
10% Other Duties As Assigned: Will support company and its subsidiaries Technology Services entities with regards to database services and related systems architectures as required.
Candidate must possess a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft SOL enterprise database environments. Extensive experience in designing, developing and maintaining Microsoft SOL 2000/SOL 2005 environments is required. Experience in database modeling and analysis is required. Experience with Microsoft CLAP and Microsoft Reporting Services. Current work history should include data warehouse development and maintenance. Experience in a Microsoft oriented Enterprise environment is necessary.
Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years Microsoft SOL Database Administration
2 or more years of Microsoft SOL Database Development
Experience with Web and .NET environments
Experience with Microsoft CLAP and Reporting Services. Strong writing and oral communication skills.
