Jr. Data Warehouse Developer

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be clearable to Public Trust.
Time can be split between Reston and DC location. Candidates must be willing to travel to DC for meetings.
The HHS Security Data Warehouse (HSDW) is the authoritative IT FISMA system inventory. HSDW provides the centralized repository for HHS and OPDIV level data and is used to aggregate, report, and store annual and quarterly FISMA submission data. Additionally, HSDW provides ad-hoc reporting capabilities allowing a near real-time understanding of the Department’s security posture. HSDW resides on a virtual server, leveraging an Oracle database with Jasper business intelligence software for reporting and querying. The HHS Security Data Warehouse (HSDW) Project has development, implementation, testing, and operations and maintenance (O&M) activities that are ongoing and required on a regular basis.
a. Develop, test and maintain the HSDW system to include software, code development and scripting, hardware, upgrades, documentation, vulnerability remediation and data
b. Ensure the HSDW security authorization documentation and authorization-to-operate
(ATO) are current, identifying and correcting potential and actual vulnerabilities.
Maintain security and operations documentation, including system security plans,
information system contingency plans, plans of action and milestones (POA&M),
operations manuals, and standard operating procedures
c. Provide user support, training and outreach to the HSDW user community on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis, as necessary
d. Develop standard HSDW reporting templates and reports as needed.
e. Coordinate with OCIO stakeholders to ensure all user requirements are identified andconsidered within the system
B.A. or B.S. in related field and one year of information assurance services experience. B.A. or B.S. may be substituted with 4 years of professional Information Assurance services experience.
Experience with the a system development lifecycle, to include requirements gathering, system development, integration, documentation and operation and maintenance. Specifically, experience with developing/maintaining a data warehouse with an Oracle database backend, web interface, and familiarity Jasper BI reporting engine.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are highly preferred. It is highly desired that candidates possess strong interpersonal skills. Candidates must be fluent in the English language.
