POSITION PROFILE

The Supplier Quality Manager will lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.  This is a critical position impacting Knoll’s cost of quality.  Key responsibilities include:

·         Qualification of new suppliers following Knoll Production Approval Process

·         Work closely with the Supplier on quality control plans, supplier corrective action requests

·         Manage on-going issues with respect to Supplier quality specs, documents, engineering change requests, etc

·         Support Supplier score card reviews and follow-ups

·         Work with Knoll’s direct to ship suppliers to drive down quality related claims

·         Develop skilled personnel to be able to manage specific categories of suppliers

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

 

·         Bachelor’s degree required in any Engineering discipline

·         Minimum five years experience in a Supplier Quality Manager or Manufacturing Quality Management role

·         Knowledge of statistical process control and continual improvement methodologies

·         Ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships

·         Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes

·         Ability to lead and drive business within a cross-functional team

·         Collaborative, flexible and adaptable

·         Willingness to travel 30% (international and domestic)
