Transamerica Life Protection (LP) division provides operations, information technology, legal, marketing, and finance support to internal agents and independent producers who market the companies life insurance, health insurance, long-term care insurance, marketing services, and investment products. Performs a variety of IT duties including programming of proprietary systems and digital marketing solutions, desktop and equipment support, project management, network support and other duties as needed. Assess, maintain, develop, document and improve existing Client Server Software and Web Applications.
1. Work with department personnel to assess application requirements and need areas i.e. needs analysis, app. Redesign.
2. Develop an action plan for implementing application requirements and completing development deliverables.
3. Document Code and business logic within and outside of applications.
4. Develop an action plan for implementing application requirements and completing development deliverables.
5. Discuss and disclose findings with IT Department.
6. Test, Troubleshoot and Train.
7. Assist with general organizational needs that may expand outside of I.T.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or technically related field, or equivalent education/ experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience developing with Microsoft Technologies.
Client server application and database development experience.
Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Visual Studio.Net (Rich Client, Web Applications and Web Services).
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
Developing for the Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
Strong IT skills and relevant insurance industry experience.
Effective interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Some travel may be required.

Transamerica’s pay ranges are competitive and are based on the external labor market. An annual bonus opportunity may be available to regular employees.
