Coordinate the financial affairs of the organization including the company's financial plans and policies, accounting practices, and the preparation of financial reports. This position involves management over general accounting functions including; accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and credit management. Responsibilities for financial reporting, internal auditing, capital expenditures, and budgetary controls. Building a motivated team to achieve corporate goals and help maintain policies and procedures. Help shape a positive culture while developing the knowledge and skill level of employees. Create and sustain a safe, healthy, and ethical work environment
This position is important to the development of internal and external customer relationships in a way that assures customer’s expectations are consistently satisfied and allows the company to gain competitive advantages.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Must have 2-5 years of experience directly related to standard accounting practices, financial analysis, and budgetary control. Has knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures, including inventory cost accounting. Knowledge of the Distribution Industry is preferred. CPA and/or MBA is a plus.
Knowledge of management principles, human resource practices and employee relations is a must. Must possess excellent leadership skills for employee development and performance management.
Must be able to communicate ideas or problems clearly, concisely, and in a timely fashion. Ability to work under pressure, performs multiple tasks, and interacts well with others. Ability to speak and communicate well with vendors and other company personnel. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel. Must have big ERP experience, Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
