The University of Maryland’s Center for Safe Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Computer Network Specialist Lead – Server Administrator Lead. The successful candidate will be assigned to the State of Maryland’s Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) INFORAMTION TECHNOLOGY COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION (ITCD) in Pikesville, Maryland. The DPSCS is in the process of improving and expanding the technical services that it provides to its organizations. In particular, it is striving to maintain and provide information and communication services throughout DPSCS to criminal justice agencies and to the public.
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Information Technology and Communications Division (IT&CD) is seeking a qualified applicant for a Computer Network Specialist – Server Administrator Lead. This position is responsible for ensuring adequate server operations and services to DPSCS and law enforcement users are available twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. This includes managing the engineering, planning, designing, integrating and maintaining hardware and software for SANs and servers to include operating systems and software.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology.
Three (3) years of documented system administration experience providing technical support for a Microsoft server environment in a multi-location organization.
