vCloud Offer Development Specialist
About the Job
Provides subject matter expertise to offer development for enterprise private cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. Responsible for creation of consulting and technology implementation services design, and related collateral for sales and delivery enablement. Aides in the development of consulting offers to implement and enable cloud solutions for customers, and the testing, piloting, and delivery enablement of those offers. Key metrics for successful performance include the launch new offers and updates according to defined schedule, and incremental revenue generation in this part of the services portfolio. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Assists in the design, development and go to market of value-added offerings which will drive additional opportunities to leverage EMC enterprise private and hybrid cloud solutions. Integrates enhancements and new capabilities based on feedback from the field. Develops content and collateral to ensure the field understands, applies, and executes the offerings. Provides technical and/or business consultative leadership for a specific practice at the pre-and/or post sale phase.
Integrates EMC Federation and third party products and services where possible into the practice solutions and offerings to enable the EMC vision of IT Transformation and IT as a Service. Should have experience with the architecture, design and deployment of virtual systems, infrastructure automation and orchestration, next generation IT solutions, self-service IT, DevOps and SDLC automation, and other technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
Integrates industry and technical knowledge into practical sales-related tactics, techniques and procedures, thereby ensuring teams support the sales efforts by delivering well-rounded and well-developed proposals. If consulting solution has a product component, may provide technical input to product engineering to enable product improvements and enhancements.
Works with appropriate stakeholders to deliver practice training.
Partners with EMC Global Services Delivery to maintain a level of practice readiness, in order to be successfully prepared to support the delivery of customer engagements: skilled and trained workforce, strong partner relations, tested and proven technical solutions and development methodologies.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time depending on geography.
