LM Federal Credit Union (LMFCU) in Middle River Maryland is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Vice President of Member Service.

LMFCU was organized in 1949 and serves the employees of Lockheed Martin, General Electric, and other groups in the Maryland area from our location in Middle River. We have 13 employees and serve 3,300 members.

Qualified applicants must have three or more years of related experience successfully managing a financial institution branch.
Education: Bachelors degree required.
Technology: Must be skilled with pc technology and Microsoft office applications.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills required.
Favorable background check required. Positive credit standing a must.

Position Description: Direct and supervise the operational management of the office on a day-to-day basis. Work with the President in instituting new programs and evaluating products and services. Recruit and select quality applicants for member service positions. Maintain a highly motivated and well-trained staff. Establish and maintain effective employee relations. Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures. Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work and provide excellent quality service to members. Hold periodic staff meetings. Identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures or changes in service. Attend board meetings and report on assigned areas of responsibility as requested by the President. Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Work with the auditors to ensure compliance with internal controls. Ensure that the Credit Union is in compliance with laws and regulations. Work to promote and acquire new members through local sponsor group visits. Act as a backup to operational staff. Help with collection efforts. Open new accounts and loans during busy periods. Assume all responsibilities of the Credit Union President in his absence.
