Web Developer

Growing tech-savvy company in Eugene area is looking for a mid-level to senior Developer.  In this role, you will need to be creative and talented with experience in PHP, MySQL and JQuery. You will be challenged on a daily basis to solve problems in new and creative ways. You will need experience working with large databases and high demand scalable systems.

The keys to this position are:

- MySQL and PHP experience (LAMP – Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) 

- Must be a self-starter

- Ability to work with, and modify, existing code

- Willingness to learn and grow

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-          Creation of new websites and applications

-          Routine daily maintenance of existing sites and applications

-          Enforce database standards and procedures

-          Communicate to the Project Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays

-          Updating the images and data on the sites for products.

-          Adding content (user manuals, help screens, etc.) to web sites.

-          Maintaining and creating banners and splash screens for the customer sites.

-          Maintaining and creating customer files for individual sites.

-          Providing feedback and helping to create eye pleasing and functional screens and skins to enhance the sites.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

-          Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook     

-          This person needs to be have an eye and ability to create aesthetically pleasing web pages and be able to operate in an ever-changing requirements environment.

-          Collaborative work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented culture

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-          Understand how to build a PHP web application from the ground up, as well as modify and build upon an existing codebase.

-          A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.

-          Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while leading development to a completed and successful solution.

-          Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of internal and external timelines.

-          Experience with versioning software.

-          Understanding of Apache to maintain a development environment and to support production issues.
